One date.
A clearer choice.
The Mansion leads for 7 July. Temple Newsam is the strongest alternative if 17 July works. Neither is booked.
From the afternoon conversation: Victoria liked The Mansion and Temple Newsam's Great Hall. Both merit a remote viewing. The preferred date remains 07.07.2027; alternative dates are choices, not a change already agreed.

7 July available at today's call · not reservedKerry confirmed 7 July 2027 was available. A £300 refundable, no-obligation hold for up to two weeks was offered, but has not been taken. Ceremony-only covers arrival, ceremony and brief photographs. Drinks or a meal require a separate bespoke proposal.
Thomas Nicholson commissioned The Mansion in 1811 as a Greek Revival family seat in Roundhay Park. Leeds acquired the estate in the 1870s, preserving the house as the park became one of the city's great public landscapes.

17 July offered · 7 July has school activityThomas offered Saturday 17 July 2027. A school workshop on 7 July raises noise and privacy concerns even if the Dining Room could be used; 6 and 8 July also have school activity. On the 17th, a dance rehearsal elsewhere means the whole house would not be exclusive. No date is held.
The estate appears in Domesday and later belonged to the Knights Templar. Lord Darnley, future husband of Mary, Queen of Scots, was born here in 1545. Sir Arthur Ingram bought the house in 1622 and his family transformed it over three centuries.

The site name reaches back to Gilbert Canun in the 13th century. The Spencer and Spencer Stanhope family shaped the house for almost 300 years, with John Carr adding wings in the 1760s. Barnsley bought it in 1951 and opened the museum in 1957.

John Batt built Oakwell in 1583, and it survives with remarkable Elizabethan character. Charlotte Brontë knew the house and recast it as Fieldhead in her novel Shirley. Today it is furnished as the Batt family home of the 1690s.

Temple Newsam: Thomas said meals require external caterers. A Dining Room ceremony, Great Hall drink and restaurant lunch could be the simplest arrangement.
Victoria Hall: ask about bringing your own caterer and the licensed bar. Cannon Hall: catering and drinks options are still awaiting Jennie's reply.
For every quote: confirm whether 15 includes the couple, dietary needs, children, one-table layout, cake policy, minimum spend, service charge and accessible toilets.
